The BLIZZARD WIZZARD

Tip of the Week
Sunglasses or goggles?

Boarders generally prefer the “cool” look of goggles but “coolness” aside; it is often difficult to know whether to wear goggles or glasses.

There is no hard and fast rule but generally goggles are warn for any of the following reasons:

1) It is snowing or raining

2) If your eyes are prone to water in cold conditions or when travelling at speed

3) You need to wear spectacles

If in doubt carry glasses and goggles or just take goggles. If you choose to wear glasses, make sure they provide 100% ultra violet protection. Whether you wear glasses or goggles think about the lens tint. Orange is a good all round tint.
yellow, orange or rose tints are best for flat light, which you may well encounter in December/January and possibly February.

Green or grey tint is less effective.

Fact of the Week
The world's largest ski region ...

Paradiski is the new name for La Plagne and Les Arcs, following the opening of the link between the two regions in December 2003.

The link has created the largest ski region in the world with 3 impressive Glaciers, two peaks above 9750 feet and 280 miles of groomed ski runs…ski heaven!
